Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the Cosmic Tarot mobile app ("the app"), published by Thoughunch Studio, an individual developer based in Virginia, United States ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What the app is for

Cosmic Tarot is intended for entertainment and personal reflection. Tarot readings and AI-generated interpretations are symbolic and subjective. They do not predict the future with certainty and are not factual statements or guarantees of any outcome.

2. No professional advice

Nothing in the app is medical, psychological, legal, financial, investment or other professional advice. Do not rely on the app to make important decisions about your health, mental well-being, finances, legal matters, personal safety or relationships. For important matters, consult an appropriately qualified professional.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, do not use the app for guidance. Contact your local emergency number (112 in Turkey and the EU) or a crisis line in your country (see findahelpline.com).

3. AI-generated content

Interpretations are written automatically by an AI model provided by a third party, based on the cards drawn and the question you enter. AI-generated content:

• may be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent or unsuitable for your situation;
• does not reflect knowledge of real events, other people's thoughts or your personal circumstances;
• is not reviewed by a person before you see it.

You can report an interpretation that seems harmful, inappropriate or wrong using "Report" on the reading screen. We review reports and use them to improve the app.

4. Your responsibility

You are responsible for your own decisions and actions, including anything you decide after using the app. You are also responsible for what you type into the app and for how and with whom you share readings.

5. Acceptable use

When using the app you agree not to:

• use it to harass, threaten, defame or harm others, or to seek content that does so;
• enter other people's personal or sensitive information without their permission;
• try to obtain content that is illegal, sexually explicit involving minors, or that promotes violence or self-harm;
• interfere with the app or its server, bypass usage limits or advertising, automate requests, or reverse engineer the app to access the service outside the app;
• use the app in breach of any applicable law.

We may limit or block access for installations that misuse the service.

6. Advertising and third-party services

Some spreads are unlocked by watching a rewarded ad provided by Google AdMob. Readings are generated with the help of Groq's AI service, and our server runs on Cloudflare. These services have their own terms and privacy policies, and our Privacy Policy explains what information they receive. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads.

7. Availability

The app is offered free of charge and "as is". AI readings need an internet connection and depend on third-party services. Features, daily limits, spreads and ad requirements may change, and the service may be unavailable at times, for example during maintenance, outages or when usage limits are reached. During testing, features may change or stop working without notice.

8. Intellectual property

The app, its design, code, card artwork of the Cosmic deck, texts and sounds are owned by us or used under licence. The Classic deck uses the Rider–Waite–Smith artwork of 1909, which is in the public domain; other assets are used under their respective licences (see About & Legal > Credits). You may share readings for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, sell or redistribute the app or its artwork without permission.

9. Limitation of liability

We work to keep the app useful and safe, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available, error-free or that interpretations will be accurate or suitable. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions you make based on the app or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including your rights as a consumer.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms when the app changes. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version, and significant changes will be announced in the app. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard by the competent courts located in Virginia, unless the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live give you the right to bring a claim in your local courts or to rely on your local law; those rights are not affected.
